Go Green with Dragon's Well or Lung-Ching

As you know, tea is a very important component of Chinese daily life. With hundreds of different varieties to choose from, the Chinese favored Dragon's Well (also known as Lung-Ching) and have made it the most widely consumed green tea. Here's a little more info:
Dragon's Well has four distinct characteristics: 1) flat leaves; 2) jade green color; 3) soft and mellow flavor; and 4) sweet, fresh aroma. The mellow flavor of Dragon's Well keeps it from turning bitter - even if it is over steeped. During production, Dragon's Well is pan fried and dried under a wood-fired wok; this helps remove the green, grassy taste. The Chinese also believe that Dragon's Well has a cooling effect - a perfect tea for the spring and summer seasons!

Dragon's Well and other green teas are produced in such a way that they contain the highest content of antioxidant compounds - therefore they help fight against certain cancers, lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure, reduce the likely-hood of getting the flu and other infections and helps reduce the signs of aging.

Try our green tea - we think you'll love the mellow, sweet taste - not to mention enjoying a long list of health benefits! Choose from Dragon's Well, Green Caramel, Gunpowder Mint or Wild Blueberry!

The Ultimate Jumpstart to your Diet ~ Drink Tea!

According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, "green tea consumption produced a significant 4% increase in 24-hour energy expenditure. If you consume 2,000 calories per day and don't gain or lose weight (you're in energy balance), an increase of 4% would translate roughly into an 80-calorie daily difference. Over a year, this could result in 89 pounds of weight loss." Going green (tea that is) could be the ultimate jumpstart to your diet plan!

Interestingly the tea you purchase from a grocery store shelf may not contain the key ingredients of green tea you are looking for. Most mass production tea is made with lower quality tea - tea dust if you may. Just for kicks, after I brewed my Steeped in Style tea this afternoon, I tore open the teabag (left side of picture). Then I tore open a teabag I had received from a leading tea company (right side). This is the picture I took. What you see is what you get. If you are going to fuel your body, do it with the best possible tea products. The bottom line is your body will thank you in the long run.

It's only natural to feel this good ~ Oolong or Wu Long?

Wu Long tea? Chances are you know this tea by another name. Wu Long tea is more commonly referred to as oolong tea! You may find that people promoting oolong tea as a weight loss product are tending to refer to it as Wu Long. Regardless of which is name is used, the fact of the matter is that this extraordinary tea is catching on because of some fascinating health benefits and not just for the wonderful robust flavor that it has been known for in the past.

Recent research has shown that oolong teas have been found to have the same capabilities to jump start a sluggish metabolism that are found in green tea. However, oolong tends to produce roughly twice the difference in metabolic rates and has about half the amount of caffeine found in green tea. Oolong (or wu long) might just be what you have been looking for!

Steeped in Style is happy to offer you a wonderful Oolong Peach loose leaf tea! Continue to exercise and watch what you eat, but add a delicious cup of tea to your daily routine. You might just find that the tea helps you get past those cravings between meals as well as helps your body burn more energy more efficiently!

Oo-la-la ~ Oolong Peach! Enjoy!
